Anshin Japan is a guide for people traveling Japan on their own. We cover what’s good to know before you go — driving, eating out, places to stay, getting your phone online — and what to do when something goes wrong, in English, Korean, Traditional Chinese, Thai and Indonesian.
How we write
- Every article is based on official information: government agencies, railway and road operators, airports and the businesses themselves. In most articles, the official pages we checked are listed at the end.
- For information that changes easily (prices, times, rules), we note when we checked it, and we update it when the official information changes.
- The photos on this site were taken on location by the operator (we add them as we take them).
- Where we’ve been there ourselves, we add a short note from our own experience.
- We write from a traveler’s point of view, so you can see first what to do.
About ads
Some articles include affiliate links (ads) to booking sites. If you book through them, we may earn a commission. Commissions don’t change what we write. See our Privacy Policy and Affiliate Disclosure for details.
